User information
greenID collects personal information from individuals to assist the individual to verify their identity, that is to prove who they say they are. Personal information is collected and communicated to be either compared against an information database or to allow the individual to electronically present themselves to a trusted independent entity with whom they already may have a relationship.
When an individual uses various services provided by greenID this may involve using other personal details but this usage remains under the full control and permission of the individual themselves.
How personal information is used?
The greenID service enables an individual to use their own personal information for their own purposes. greenID will not disclose any personal information to any individual or entity without the express permission of the individual.
greenID will not use personal information for any purpose that is not related to any service provided to the individual or for any purpose for which the individual would not reasonably expect greenID to use the information.
What personal information is collected?
The only information that is collected and used by greenID is the minimum required for greenID to create an audit trail to show that greenID was used. The specific personal information elements collected by greenID are: name, address, date of birth, time and date of use of greenID.
greenID does not adopt any identifying numbers issued by other persons or entities for user identification.
Individual user access to personal information
Users will have access to all the personal information they have provided to greenID. Users have the ability to change and update this information. Some details provided by an individual in order to verify themselves to an entity may be retained by that entity as part of the records required for compliance with the Anti-Money laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 or other laws or regulations.

Disclosure of personal information by greenID
greenID takes great care with practices that affect personal privacy. greenID will protect the personal information of users and prevent the use or disclosure of personal information without the consent of the individual.
greenID will not disclose information that identifies an individual, or enables an individual to be identified, with the exception that greenID may release information about an individual user when required by law to do so.
Storing personal information
greenID only stores the minimum of personal information required to create an audit trail to show that greenID was used. The specific personal information elements collected by greenID are: name, address, date of birth, time and date of use. All stored user information is protected from unauthorised access through the use of secure passwords and user logons and other forms of biometric verification.
Data security
All personal information is stored securely and will remain active on the greenID server while the individual remains an greenID user. The measures taken to ensure security of personal information is sufficient to prevent misuse and loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure of personal information. More specifically, greenID maintains a high level of data security by implementing:
- physical security to prevent unauthorised entry to our premises, by installing systems to detect unauthorised access and secure containers for storing paper-based personal information
- computer and network security to protect computer systems and networks for storing, processing and transmitting personal information
- communications security to protect communications via data transmission and to prevent unauthorised intrusion into our computer network
- personnel security, through our personnel security measures and background checking procedures to limit access to personal information only by authorised staff and for only approved purposes.
Disposal of information
Users of greenID may delete their personal information held by greenID at any time except in those cases where it is required by law to maintain a record. greenID will conduct all business operations in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act) and meet the National Privacy Principles. The National Privacy Principles are a summary of the way 'personal information' may be collected, used, disclosed, accessed and corrected, transferred and stored.
Personal information is any information that can identify a person, or enable that person to be identified.
Usage Patterns
Our web servers (including this one that you are now using) collect information on the usage patterns of people visiting our website. This information is used for statistical purposes and is gathered from each visit to our website. This information is not used to identify the browsing activities of individual users but will record:

- traffic patterns and pages viewed
